I just wanted to share with everyone the fact that I finally have been able to have my name legally changed. It is really exciting and I have been looking forward to this event for the past ten months.

Also on a side note the Transgender community in my area has been expanding. There is now over 30 of us! We have been able to host several open mic nights, a few pot lucks, bi-weekly support meetings, a Transgender Educational Summit, and our next order of business is presenting a Transgender Education Summit for the HRC in Nashville. Ten months ago, when I first started transitioning, I would have never guessed that my life would be so meaningful and full of purpose. However, since transitioning I have felt so empowered and so authentic that I often times wonder why did I wait so long.

I hope all of  you are safe and well, where ever you are, and that you know that you are loved.
