I have started coming out as a woman and wanted to say hello to this community.  I hope to start transistioning soon and am here both in an attempt to build community as well as seek support and i make this transistion.  I am glad this site exists and hope to bring something to this community as i find my way around it.  I am an advocate for human rights in mental health in my everyday life so activism is always something i am interested in.  I hope that during my transistion i can in future be a support for others i meet doing the same.  Enough intro, hello to all

Hi!

Welcome to Susan's.  I'm Jennifer, I'm MTF and I transitioned about a year and a half ago.  I found help and support here.  I hope the same for you.

Hugs

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Welcome to Susan's Place. Just take in the information and company for now. As you move through your transitions you will find newer member who need help and you will give back then. My surgery was 33 years ago and it would have been impossible had it not been for the people in my therapy group. I am still repaying the great gift they gave me by helping others like you on their way. If you have any questions ask and we will do our best to answer them.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

sorry to bump this.  I just wanted to add a few things

I know my intro was short ... i read others and realize people have shared so much awesome stuff and I really appreciate people being so brave.  I am more likely to share over time personally but I really have appreciated the feedback both here and on IRC ... it has made me feel like its okay to be me after many attempts to be loud about who i am and always retreating back into my male body assuming something was wrong with me.  I have meet awesome wonderful people and learned a lot more about how normal all this really is and I just wanted to acknowladge that in some fashion.  So that being said thank you all for making this site exist and being the beautiful wonders you all are.  I feel like i have some support now so i can do the same.  I am ever grateful
Be good to yourself... Always :)

Never feel pressured to post or talk about something you are uncomfortable about on this site. Everybody moves at their own rate and when you are ready, we will still be here ready to listen. It is enough that you are here and have started exploring.

Hi LunaStar..... Your introduction suggests both passion and commitment, which are two ingredients that I hope will sustain you through your transition.  I would like to think that everyone here gives and takes according to their ability and needs at the time and a valuable resource to aid your own decision making and timescales. Very reassuring to know that others have travelled similar paths and are there for you.  You should feel welcome here as I have been made to feel welcome! K xx
