"AVERY JACKSON, from Kansas in the USA, told her mum Debi she was girl when she was four years old.

She then started asking about ways to die, and speaking about ways to get rid of her male body parts, because they were 'in the way'.

That's when Debi and her husband Tom started hiding the sharp objects in their house, fearing their precious youngest child would take matters into her own hands.

Avery started living life as a girl, and became a lot happier."

Sounds like the sort of things lots of trans kids tell their parents. Not sure why this is news.
