I'm 17, pre-t, ftm, and like 5'3-5'4. Does anyone have any tips for smaller guys? I always pass as a guy, just a really young guy (13). Also has anyone had any late growth spurts around 17-20? I know it depends on genetics, but I'm just wondering if I have any hope for growing. Thanks :) :-\

When men start producing testosterone is when they usually start the puberty and guys usually grow at like 16 17 and can grow up to 21!  So if you start t soon you should grow. Even for t girls when we are done growing once we start E we loose a few inches in height so I would assume with t you would grow. Some guys grow 18-19. Don't know much about the effects of T hormone replacement but this information is just from my experience seeing people going through puberty.

Wow that would be so awesome! I am hoping to start testosterone in around 3 months; I turn 18 in January. Maybe there's still hope! :D Thanks

If you are starting testosterone while still in puberty, you may still grow taller (bearing in mind that height and growth are related to a complex number of factors, and testosterone is only one of them). Once puberty is over then the bones are usually fused at the length they have reached and any extra growth is highly unlikely.

Yes men's puberty I think is more likely to make you grow 17-21. Even if you started t at 21 and faced woman's puberty you would probably still get a couple of inches because like I said if someone grows in make puberty and done once they start E Trans women have told me they lost a couple of inches. So if you start before 18 you have a good shot. Remember this is only from what I know and my personal experiences. Good luck handsome

All of the men on my mother's side of the family are 'short'. Shorter than I am, as the child of a short mother and a tall father. How do they deal with it? They don't care. They're still men. As men you gotta get on with it. Didn't stop any of them having the lives and careers they wanted.

i think you're fine. i'm only 5'1. lol.
most of the times i have to get kids (boy) clothes and i feel your pain. i pass as a young boy 12, 13 or so. my close buddy is old. so we look like dad-son. i do believe we can still grow till we hit 30. after that i don't think so. i have many people tell me they grow after childbirth, and some grows a lot in height, it's noticeable.
i do grow an inch during a summer i was in the U.S. i was born and raised in Asia :]

Most of the men I know are pretty short it's more common to be short than tall actually. There are many other things that people pay attention to height isn't a big deal. You may grow but you still have to remember to accept yourself as the man you are. Focus on something else about you instead that makes you feel good.

Here it seems like all the guys in my class are 6ft+, I just never see any small guys. Hopefully when I move away from Alabama and go to a bigger city, I'll see a more diverse range of male heights. Yeah that would be awesome to maybe gain an inch or two, then I hope to put on some muscle mass and seem bigger all the way around.

Thanks guys!  :)

I'm in college and see many guys in class that are on the shorter side around 5'5. I don't even see any guys that are even 6 foot. My middle school crush is now around 5'4 5'5 and he is super sexy and the girls love him lol. I'm 5'10 which is kind of tall for a girl but I notice many short men and many tall women so I have gotten used to it for the most part :)

height doesn't matter. it's hard not to be dysphoric over it but the trick is to be confident and act like it doesn't bug you, because it shouldn't. i'm about 5'2", and i have no problems with people seeing me as a man. i also have a job that is physically demanding, and that is the ONLY time someone will comment on my height (and that's rare) because they think i can't lift or do things my coworkers can, but i do, and i do it just as easily which usually gets a surprised reaction which i find funny and boosts my ego because i proved them wrong. now that i've been on T i get judged as older a bit but still younger than my actual age but i have a baby face but i also have facial hair now (not much but enough to make me look older). you also should dress for the age you want. wearing baggy clothes, hoodies, track pants, etc. all of these things are things "younger" people would wear.

but i feel your pain where it seems like evryone is easily 6ft and you're just short. i'm in college, i'm going to be a paramedic and all the guys around me easily are 6 ft, maybe a bit shorter, but i just as easily keep up with them. i don't feel like i have all this extra work to do to gget to where they are because i'm just as capable and my height isn't an indicator of what i can or can not do. just be confident and dress your age and you should be alright.
