Mine virtually disappeared too. I've had two (or perhaps three) laser sessions around my nipples, but other than that, virtually all my abdominal and chest hair disappeared on its own. I still shave some areas once every two weeks since there are a few hairs left, but it's manageable, as the leftover hairs grow slowly, and you'd have to get very close to see them. When shaved, they're virtually invisible. I still have a few hairs growing at an annoying rate around my nipples though, but they're mostly white, and I can't be arsed with electrolysis at this point. YMMV, but I'd at least wait until you've been a year on hormones if I were you - it could save you some money better spent other things.
The same goes for the legs by the way - while you probably won't get hair free on hormones, you may well find that you end up with a similar amount of leg hair to most cis women. At that point of course you could choose to do hair removal nevertheless (I'm considering it, but not until SRS is over and done with, I need the money), or just shave.
