So after coming out to my wife back in November 2014, and close family and a few friends more recently, I've spent ALOT of time trying to reach a decision on whether to transition. I've started laser hair removal, and will have my first GIC appointment next summer. But up until tonight whenever I spoke about transition, it was always with an 'if'. In the last couple of weeks I feel I've finally reached a point in my mind that it's both what I want and what I need, so tonight I spoke the words out loud to my therapist for the first time, "I AM going to transition." It felt great!
It's still going to be a long road for me, I want to move slowly for the sake of my children.
Just wanted to share this.
For those also trying to answer the question, don't rush yourself, I've been pressured from family for quite some time, but knew I could only answer the question when my mind was ready. Best of luck with whatever path you choose.
