So instead of waiting for my Veteran Affairs psychiatrist to get me a therapist to start seeing so I can start my hormones I went ahead and contacted a therapist. Lol didn't know it was $100 a session. I really want to get the ball rolling but I don't have that type of money. Guess I'll be waiting, silly me

Strange as it may sound, $100 a session doesn't sound to bad to me. For about 5 years I was paying $60 an hour once a week for therapy that didn't get me anywhere. This was in the last half of the 1970's so the same session would cost around $240 today. My last doctor charged $60 a month for four group therapy sessions. I considered that a real bargain as the group made it possible for me to transition.
