So, I'm new here and idk if this is the right place to post this but whatever.
I'm Antoni, and I identify as a trans man. recently I've been thinking about testosterone. I really want a deeper voice and more masculine features, the problem is, I don't get (a lot of) bottom dysphoria. Now that might not seem like a problem, but I've heard that your clitoris grows on t, so your genitals look kind of like the genitals of an intersex person. Now, (no offense to intersex people) I would rather keep my vagina as it is now(I can't get bottom surgery anytime soon, so it's not an option). Do any of you know any alternative methods of transitioning that don't involve clitoral growth? I know that there are certain vegetables that boost testosterone, but I don't know how well they work?

Well its kind of a packet...
many people start out with a small dose of t for a few months... it might also help the larynx to expand more naturally, so there might be better results with voice and singing...

how much clit growth depends... some people have quite some growth, some not so much.
And it might be pleasurable... to have something to penetrate...

Well vegetable levels are supposed to be much lower... so there might be not as much effects, or a high dose might be needed which might have lots of side effects...

Hey, I was uncertain about T as well because of how it affects the downstairs area and I'm ok with how it is. I decided to take T though because it's the best way for a trans man to look like a man to other people, as well as the other physical benefits. Herbal stuff hasn't really been proven to work. Sorry, as Laura said it's a package deal and you're going to have to sacrifice some things changing to receive the positive benefits.

thankspete, I will say the same as several others t is a package deal all or nothing, everyone will develop individually and at their own rate, starting on a low dosage will make changes slower for you.  I saw somewhere that on t some time some guys get only a little growth and some a lot like 2.5/3.0 inches.

No. Unfortunately you can't pick and choose the effects of testosterone. While some people experience mild degrees of masculinization with herbal supplements, you aren't going to achieve the same kind of masculinization that you would on testosterone.

I have heard of some guys going on a low dose of T as long as it takes to get their voice to drop. But that is one of the few permanent effects of T. Fat redistribution, the ability to more easily add muscle-mass (leading to a more masculine form) are all things that can reverse when you stop taking T.

Before t I didn't have bottom dysphoria. I've been on t for a year now and the first thing that changed was bottom growth. Honestly, its my favorite change lol. I don't have bottom dysphoria now and I'm happy about that.

Hey Antoni

Welcome to Susan's :) Great to have you here - looking forward to seeing you around the forum.

Unfortunately we can't really pick and chose the effects of HRT, it works in mysterious ways. Some people get a lot of results in one area and not much in the other, for another person it might be the opposite.

Please check out the following links for general site info...

Cheers
