Ive been debating this for a few weeks and scared to get serious with tweezers

mine are faint towards the outer edges, well in color... dye them darker?

ive tried laying stencils on them, cumbersome, Ive tried shaving a shape, sketchy, I draw them a bit to get them darker and arched slightly but am scared to dive in as its a one shot affair.... :-\

feel a bit silly going in to a pro, and what if they do something I dont like....

anyways, tips, suggestions, vids, appreciated

I wouldn't put dye near my eye. I always go into a professional to get them done; as you said it's kind of a one shot deal. Eyebrow liner is great to fill in where color is fading and to fill in where hairs are sparse. If you know someone with really nice eyebrows, ask them where they get their's done. If they do them themselves, then I'd ask them for a hand.

I get tips and help from an aesthetician friend, I bring her a gift and ask for help. She's always been happy to help when there's presents! ;)

I would suggest going to a pro. Are you full time? If so, shouldn't be any big deal.....just let them know what you're looking for and they can do it incrementally and show you progress as they go. Threading and waxing could work well for this.

If you're not out / full time yet, then yeah it could be a little more nerve wracking. Getting my eyebrows done professionally is one of the first things I ever did before I even came out. I just let the lady know I wanted more feminine eyebrows ....but another way of saying it is simply: "Give me a bit more arch"

Look into careprost for thicker/longer eyebrow hair.

I once did it for the 80s Madonna look.

Otherwise, use gel-like substance or vaseline.

I have mine waxed professionally about once a month and tweeze new growth in between.  I use an eyebrow pencil daily since my brows are pretty light colored in places, it really helps to define them and if you mess up just wipe it off and start over!  :)

Even if you're not full time you can have them waxed just to clean them up and give them a bit more definition.  You'll be amazed at what a difference it makes!

You could have a look here:

-take your time, have a look at results often
-trimming from below should be preferable to get an arch and optically lift the eyebrows
-one hint is to cover eyebrows with bangs

If you're not full time and you're worried about being noticed, I'd suggest doing something very gradual.  That way it's not a shock to others and B4 long not only will others take little note, but your comfort level will gradually increase.

I tried the waxing thing at first, but then while I was having electrolysis done I asked my technician to start shaping them via electrolysis.  No more waxing.  Just need to trim them regularly.

Mine are thin and totally blond and I use a MAC pencil to shape and define. Just choose a shade that goes well with your hair colour.I henna my hair red(duh!) and the shade Lingering works nicely as does Essence Blond which is almost the same shade as the MAC.You tube is full of helpful hints around the best shape of brow for your face type. And remember girls..less is more...especially as you get older.
