T

I'm 15 and just got my first shot of T yesterday! My question is what do you think is the likelihood of me gaining any height on T? I've heard a lot say that once your on T you can't get any height, but I usually hear that for older guys that have already finished puberty years ago. I've also heard a lot of younger trans guys that have started T say that they've grown some.
I've gained a little height in the past year (about an inch), and on my mothers side, everyone gets a big growth spurt between 16-20. Do you think I have a chance? I'm only 5'3 and I'm hoping that starting so young would increase my chances at having a growth spurt like any other teenage guy going through puberty.

You will gain height like any cis guy :). The growth plates in your knee don't start fusing together until 21 at the latest and guys don't really stop growing until around 18.
They/them pronouns preferred.

Hi there,

I'm way past what we consider to be growing age (26) but I gained an inch while on T. I can't say for sure that it is T related. It could be from improved posture post top surgery. But, I'd say you're very likely to continue to grow if it is in the cards for you genetically.

It depends whether or not you're already done growing. I started T when I was 15 too, but I think I stopped growing when I was about 14 so it hasn't really affected anything.
