Well, I'm posting it here since I'm delving into two topics, but... I'm starting hormones on the 26th, specifically Cyproterone to start with. I'm just curious as to what things I should expect or watch out for mentally, and maybe things I should do to help nurture the physical changes.

Also, how soon should I start electrolysis? I found a local spa that does it at 75$ an hour, which seems okay. I know it's a long, drawn out process that spans a few years, but how often should I be getting sessions done?

For me the lessening of my facial hair was one of the earliest changes I noticed. I'd encourage waiting for a few months, see what's stayed and gone, then reevaluating where to go from there.

Cyproterone is a blocker and at the proper dose will induce chemical castration. You might see some changes to your body but the major difference you should see is your mind calming down. Reports indicate this should be noticeable by the end of the first week.

As for electrolysis, it is very dependent on the person. I needed two hours a week for the better part of a year to get my facial hair under control but the sessions went on for a long time after that. Some people can tolerate longer session and instead of the two one hour visits, may combine two hours in one visit or put even more hours in a week. Discuss it with your operator to get a better idea what's right for you.

If you haven't looked into laser, you should consider it because it could speed up hair removal at a much lower cost.

I suppose I'm lucky then that my facial hair is pretty lacking. the best beard I was ever able to grow (And I tried one year for the hell of it) was pretty scraggly and thin and unimpressive
