I am planning on getting an orchiectomy later this year. I have been on HRT since June 2015, and I am very happy with the results so far. I have had significant atrophy to the point that I can no longer find the objects in question, as they seem to have shrunk up inside of me; like I said I am very happy with the results. Will this make the procedure more complicated and extend recovery time?

The procedure will be fine.  It will not affect either the surgery or the recovery.

I had mine in August 2014.  Use bags of frozen peas.  Its,not a big deal.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Does having an otchiectomy help speed up the femanization presses? And does it help with the bump from tucking? Just curious thank you

An orchiectomy does a better job keeping T low.  That much is well known.  It may help with distribution of E as well but that has not been conculsively proven.  But, yea it helps some with feminization.

This do shrink after an orchi as well.  It helped me a lot.

With a career in anesthesia I participated in thousands of surgeries including orchiectomy.  Smaller testes are likely to need less of an incision to "expose" and remove them.  A highly vascular area we can expect some swelling and bruising.  We can also expect some reduction in scrotal tissue over time as this vestigial sack shrinks even further.  All good from my perspective.   With recent changes in my insurance coverage, following numerous appeals, I am seeing a surgeon soon and plan to have a local anesthetic with sedation and be home within a few hours.  Better an ice sack than a ball sack for this girl.  I love the idea of permanence and needing far less medication after recovery.
