I thought I would post my one year HRT progress to see what you all think.  Does this look like normal progress for my age?  I'm still presenting male so that's what you see in my pics with no makeup and my own hair.  PICTREV says these are not the same people!  Hahahaha.    I still need to get my face lasered too as soon as I get around to it.

Also, one other question.  I'm thinking of switching E from pills to injections at my next appointment in March.  Can I expect that to make any difference?

So here are the measurement differences in one year.  Jan 2015 to Jan 2016.  I haven't really noticed any significant strength differences, but I haven't tested that either.

Weight-             201.5    177.8.   (Been eating too much since Thanksgiving)
Chest –                42        38.5
Bust –                  43        42.75
Rib Cage –          39        36.5
Waist –                38        33.5
Hips –                  41         40
Buttocks –         40.5     40.5
Thigh –                25.       24
Neck –                 16.5     15
Bicep (flexed) -  14       13
Waist/Hip Ratio – 92.7%  83.7%

I also seem to have shrunk an inch from about 5'11.5" to 5'10.5"

Some things I wish would change faster but overall right now I'm pretty happy looking at myself in the mirror.  I think my face is changing more than my body, so here is the pic.

Wow, you look great and so much different.

I think IM is more effective than pills, from my experience. I am much more stable. I did have to decrease my interval to 10 days from 14 because I got too low.

Amazing transformation. It also looks like your 15 years younger too. Keep up the good work :)

I am not sure why you want to switch to injections because I already see a major case of male fail. Both your avatar and the after picture look feminine and nothing like the before picture. Only two years on hormones still isn't long enough to see all the changes and I thing another 2 or 3 years will still bring more changes even if you remain on the pills.

I was thinking about injections because at least as of Sept, 9 mo HRT, my testosterone was still pretty high at 120.  I thought maybe injections might help drive it down.  I did have my spiro doubled so maybe I just need to wait and see what my next blood test says.  Also I just figured out my insurance will cover HRT and I can stop paying full price.

Congrats on your progress over the last year. Just imagine what will happen in year 2!

That is incredible!  I didn't realize HRT could cause so much change in the face, and you definitely look a lot younger.  Your measurements are very impressive too... it looks like your routine is working really well with the HRT.

WOW Deborah - you look so different. Amazing changes.

Deborah, that is amazing!  I like the height loss.  I wouldn't mind going from 5'6.3" to 5'5" or less.

That's great Deborah. Have you noticed any change with your feet? I've read of some girls dropping a shoe size which would be great.

I'm not sure about my feet but I don't think they've changed much.  Luckily my feet are not huge for my body, men's size 10.5.  Shrinking a size would be nice though.

HRT can do amazing things. People who I haven't seen in years do not recognize me anymore. I've had people ask me what facial surgeries I've had and I haven't had any.

When my spiro was doubled, my T went way down. Now when I get labs back it just says Total Testosterone <20. I guess under 20 is considered undetectable.

Are you US? I think that equates to UK size 9.5. I find it difficult buying shoes here and I'm currently a 9. Is it easier for you over there?

Yes, I am US.  Shoe selection is limited at that size.  They are not impossible to find though.

I don't know how you're still presenting male, you look like your past self's younger sister.

I haven't checked my hight but I have dropped a shoe size. I went from a women's 11 to a 10.

Anyway, you look gorgeous! :)

About a month and a half ago I switched from pills to IM injections because my T wouldn't go under 100 on any dose of several pills, and since it only started out around 200 that was pretty disappointing.  Within 30 days my testosterone went undetectable and I've noticed a real physical difference.  The anticipation of the shots kills me, and rigging it up is a PITA, but the shot itself is really no big deal.  No idea how universal that is, but IM can make a difference for some of us.

But I'm not sure you're presenting as male as you think you are.

Shots are not a big deal to me.  I was once trained on giving IVs and another time on giving shots to my sick mother.  And being in the Army I had plenty of shots given to me in the past, once ten in one sitting, two shot givers - one on each arm.

As far as what I am presenting as.  LOL.  It's kind of weird.  Everyone without exception treats me nicely.  And today I had to go to another office to get a security card at work.  The girl there, 30 years my junior, started telling me about her babies.  That caught me off guard although maybe she's just really talkative to everybody?

It did for me as well. I made the change when post-op, better late than never. :)
