Conservatives have always been a demographic group obsessed with policing this nation's genitals.

They feel comfortable with ordinances that mandate, what they do, how we use them, what body orifices they enter, and -- now with transgender bathroom bills up for debate across the country -- where we take them to go relieve ourselves.

If the state of Virginia wasn't serious I could laugh off their Republicans lawmakers' suggestion that "Adults must check children's private parts before entering restroom." And, if a transgender child should violate the state's bathroom ordinance he or she will be slapped with a $50.00 fine.

The short-sightedness of these "bathroom bills" is astounding to me. Virginia, Indiana, now even Illinois, where will it end. The claim is that some theoretical hetero-sexual pervert will use subterfuge, o.e. apparently dressing up as female to get access to a womens rest room to perpetrate a crime. All these laws would simply allow a perpetrator NOT to have to cross-dress, NOThave to face the danger trans-women face everyday in public, and have EASIER access by pretending to be a trans-man. These laws actually make it more UNSAFE for women. These legislators need to get their heads out of their axxes and drop all their opposition and if they want to legislate something, legislate that people SHOULD use the bathroom of the gender they are presenting. I say should because this is supposedly a free country.

It's kind of funny actually.  Just like in the Bronze Age fertility religions they have made genitals their central point of focus.  It's all they think about.

Love is not obedience, conformity, or submission. It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being....  - Dan Barker
