My huge nose

I'm worried my huge nose will make it impossible for me to pass. I know people say women can have big noses but mine is abnormally huge.  Is there any chance I'm wrong, or is there some way I could make it look smaller without surgery?  Will HRT make it shrink?

Sorry, HRT doesn't have much effect on the size or shape of the nose.

I know how you feel. 

I have a huge nose too, and I kind of felt the same. 2 years of HRT and either it's shrunk or I just don't think about it very much anymore.

Makeup can also help.

I think I'm screwed. Everyone's going to know I'm trans because of my abnormal nose and give me abuse, and I won't be able to afford to fix it.  I don't think I've ever seen anyone with the same weird shaped nose as me.

Hi, I looked at the pic, and it looks like your discomfort is with how wide it is as opposed to it sticking out far which is what I was imagining. That's a much easier fix with makeup then the latter, and there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube that can show you better than I could explain. Essentially it's gonna involve a lighter highlight color down the center of your nose, accompanied by darker blended lines on each side to give the look of a thinner nose. Hope that helps a little!

I've seen noses that large on women.  You'll pass if everything else is good.  Make up will help.

How would you afford transition if you can't do $8K for nose work?  Electrolysis will run $6K.  Transitioning can be expensive. 

If you really want it, it can happen.  You are not nearly as problematic as I was.

Your chin is fine, it seems to be feminine. Your cheek bones seem high enough. However. Your jawline, nose and especially forehead are too masculine.

As others said, transition is expensive, especially if you want to be fully passable. Remember, passability is also about the body, mannerism, VOICE, the way you carry yourself, etc.

Ok, thanks. I'm in the UK, so I can get HRT, laser and some other things on the NHS. But obviously not FFS.  Is it possible to feminise the jaw, nose and forehead with make-up, hairstyles, etc?

You can only feminise facial features to a' extent with make up. I'm afraid the rest is ffs work.

A hairstyle with bangs, will help with the forehead, and any other feature can be helped with some contouring. So, using shadows where you want to recede areas, and highlights where you can bring forward.

I do beg to differ because that hasn't really been my experience. However it could be other things like different face proportions.

While HRT can soften some facial features, it CANNOT change bone structure. It can however change fat distribution in the face, and make skin texture softer.

I would say to the OP this: always try to bear in mind that you're transitioning for yourself, not others. Try.not to think too.much  about what others think of you (although this can be difficult).
