I looked into the use of sponges when not having shark week.
There are no known relations to TSS as sponges are completely natural, don´t contain any chemicals or human made fibers. Still they are also of an absorbent nature so there is no 100% guarantee of it being completely safe.

Still I did a little more research and I found out that girls sometimes wear (silicone) menstrual cups when they are not menstruating to catch any naturally ocurring discharge. W00T!

Looks like I have found a possible solution to something that makes me very depressive.
I know it has been said earlier that nothing can be done about it, but I want to encourage anyone to always look for practical solutions when you have a practical problem that causes serious damage in your life.

Sometimes there are answers nobody had thought about.
I can recommend that you always think creatively while keeping an eye on safety.

I can also recommend that no one tell another person that there are no solutions, unless they have actual proof, especially when the person in question is feeling desperate enough to ask such questions.

I've never heard of it having any effect on leakage. I have heard that there could be health related problems causing excessive leakage, something having to do with your lower regions obviously. If there really is a lot of it, maybe you should consider getting checked out? If there really is any underlying issue, you could have it solved and at least leak less. Guess that's still better even though it doesn't completely solve your problem.

Either that, or I'm mixing things up and remembering something completely different here.

Just because fluids are leaking doesn't mean there's a problem. There's only a problem when the leaking is a different color, smell or consistency than normal female fluids. Some people just have more moisture than others, doesn't mean there's anything wrong.

I used to have that problem a LOT when I was around 18, then I was put on birth control that effed up my hormones and destroyed my libido. Everything dried up and became almost useless. Since starting on T, I've gotten a lot of that moisture and libido back. For some reason, it seems like my body produces a lot more moisture with higher T levels, and E destroys that region. Since I do have sex with that area, it's such a blessing to me (I spent YEARS of struggling through relationships that would have been much better if my body functioned, thinking that I would never be able to enjoy things again).

I have forgotten how annoying it is to have it happen throughout the day, but I'll take it for what it is. For me, I guess it just makes me feel more like a man, being able to have sexual urges and desires again. I can see how someone who didn't suffer through all that would feel dysphoric about it happening, though. For those who don't suffer from this too badly, maybe they can just tell themselves it's the same as pre-cum. Sometimes it happens. The body is designed to produce fluids throughout the day, male or female. For those who have a serious issue with it (mine's still not NEARLY as problematic as it used to be before), I guess just hope that it lessens once you start hormones, unless someone here finds a good solution for it.

This is true and it works. I used to use silicone cups of varying brands to see which I liked best. The Diva Cup is the most well known for shark week and you can buy one at Whole Foods or online. I would leave it in when it wasn't that week to take care of any potential excess discharge since the amount fluctuates with my cycle and all but one week during ovulation when it gets bad I can mostly ignore it. I also have a mirena IUD inserted to purely control heavy bleeding from poly cystic ovaries. The only downside to these cups is depending on your dysphoria you have to be okay with a decent amount of contact and potentially having to fish the cup out of there until you get used to insertion and removal. The stem intended for removal was very irritating so I had to cut it off which made it harder to get in and out but more comfortable for long term wear.

I miss mine for practicality but due to the suction and pressure of the cup it can rip out an IUD which terrifies me to no end so I've just been wearing washable cloth pads I made myself as liners and on the bad days I wear tighter briefs with the pads to catch anything I don't want in my underwear. Not ideal but better than yanking something out of an internal organ by accident :o

Good luck, I hope this solution works out for you.

Most cis girls have some discharge down there which varies with the time of the month.  I try to just ignore mine most of the time which work as it not that much.  I am a tampon guy for shark week.  I looked into those cups once and quickly decided that there was way too much handling of those parts getting it in and out for me to get one.  They do work for some guys but not me.
