just got a message from someone I thought I lost

I got the surprise of the New Year on my Facebook page. My niece , the only one of a lost family contacted me. I thought when I came out to her she abandoned me . I sent her pictures and told her my story and I stopped hearing from her. It was about a year ago. I don't know if she's been debating whether to contact me or if as she said she didn't see my message to her , but it doesn't matter. I'm very happy I have my niece back.
