I have been on hormone therapy for 8 months.
The effects of hormones concerning hair started early and quickly.
The body hair became softer and finer. Regrowth after shaving it off was very slow and has now virtually stopped.
The arms and legs were about the same but the hair has not come back on the fingers, hands, toes and feet.
Chest hair, which is a form of pubic hair, so consequently courser is very slow to regrow.
I started laser hair removal for the face a year ago, had 6 or 7 sessions at which point the dark hair was all but gone.
I then switched to the 'blended system' of electrolysis. Be certain you are using this one because it is the best and most effective and safe for your skin method of facial hair removal.
I have had 40, hour long sessions with and average of 175 hairs removed. I feel as though I may be about half way into the process with mostly my chin and neck to still do. The rest of my face has very little hair regrown and it takes about three days until shaving those areas is needed. It took one year to get to this point with about half the hair gone. Neck areas tend to be slower work because the skin is loose and the technician has to stretch the skin more often which prolongs the time needed to treat each hair.
Bottom line, you will always need a hair removal process for the beard which is the hardest to remove. Some people like myself who have fair hair may not need or choose to have hair removal other than shaving for the rest of the body.
Hormones do have an effect but sadly not on the beard.
Best of luck with everything you choose to do.
