The New Progynova

My levels are normal.
My health is good.
Everything is pretty much the same but my face has changed back to how it was before hrt.
My cheeks have gone in.
I have lost all the mass that i had gained but my weight hasn't changed it was rather gone from 54kgs to 58kgs.
My veins are properly visible.
My boobs have shrunk.
I visited my doc yest and everything seems normal but he did agree to all of the above.
I got a venous Doppler test as well as a chest x ray done and everything is fine.
I don't get why my levels are good but the effects are fading.
Has anybody had this issue.

I have completed 16 months on progynova and until the 13th month things were great but then the progynova changed from blue to white.. and as much as the manufacturer claims its the same thing i do feel different and its definitely showing.

the ones I was taking were white but my doctor switched me to Wat I'm assuming cause that's all it said on the script is estradiol n it's a blueish green color.

As I read it, they changed color of the product. Natural question for the person selling is what else has changed, and why the color in the first place. What could that mean for the compounds present. Have they got exact list of components and their amounts now and before? Finally point out the effects on you - meaning the OP. Be ready for them to divert that to perception and even [intelligence] insulting things, like 'aging'. Expect no less than understanding and actual help. If you don't get it, they are doing it wrong.

Reading things like this, I realize possibility of me self-medicating has got a whole new level of danger, even though I would hire an endo. Probably more dangers out there to learn about.

The manufacturer said the blue is just the oil coating so basically the blue progynova is the white one with a coat. Thats all

Check the dosage. With another brand (Elleste) the white pill is half the dosage of the orange pill.

Imo there were others who reported similar side effects.

Well they might have changed something during the production process.
Maybe it has a different effect on estrogen receptors ? So they are not exactly stimulated as before ?

I personally would ask to be switched to micronized bioidentical estrogen, taken sublingually. Uncoated pills can be taken sublingually which is supposed to lessen clotting factors and help lessen strain on the liver. Its also supposed to be more effective.
Drawback is levels might rise fast and drop after a few hours. So spreading the daily dose in a few small doses instead of two big ones might be a good idea to keep levels more stady. A seesaw pattern might make for menopausal like effects, which might affect mood.

Being bioidentical it should make for a good effect.

I got put on progynova post op, since endo said I no longer need progesterone in a combined pill. They are white for me too. But I never had the blue ones, so cannot compare.

My levels are normal.

Levels in ciswomen range from 15-650 during menstrual cycle and up to 75,000 during pregnancy. So whatever level you end up with, even men's levels (as they overlap), you will end up in normal range and your levels will be normal. Normal means nothing. There is no normal. Range is too wide.

I took the same dose orally and sublingually. Both produced same results in me. Progynova is the same as bio-identical estradiol (breaks down to estradiol) but studies have shown levels of estradiol to be slightly less at same dose of Progynova.

No combined pill contains progesterone. They all contain progestins, such as medroxyprogesterone acetate, dydrogesterone, drospirenone, levonorgestrel, norethisterone, etc. which are NOT the same. I think it is important to make the distinction.
