My job can offer me full pay under short term disability for SRS. I can get up to 26 weeks (6 months) if I wanted but I figure 6-8 weeks should be enough.

There is a distinct possibility that I could go to Thailand to do this instead. Has anyone had any experience with Thai surgeons and signing disability paperwork for US employers? They said the doctor who does the surgery has to sign it.

Thanks in advance.
