Wednesday night was Session meeting at our church and since Miss Dee still hasn't recuperated enough to drive, I drove her to the meeting. (Session is the local church governing body in the Presbyterian Church and Miss Dee is on Session)  Before the meeting we were talking with our pastor and she mentioned when I do my name change, she would love to do a renaming service for me.  I said the official name change wouldn't be until after our church closes.  She said she would just go to the Presbytery, tell them we needed to use our Sanctuary, that it shouldn't be a problem and she would get with Erin (my therapist who is also a Presbyterian minister) to put together the service.  It is so wonderful having a pastor who is excited to minister to a transgender person compared to some of the false prophet hate mongers out there.
