HGH/HRT Combo?

TheQuestion

I'm not really planning on doing this, but has there ever been any research into using a HGH/HRT combo in transitioning.  I mean, during puberty and even into the late 20's when men normally reach peak muscle mass the human body still contains highly measurable levels of HGH.  It's why people grow during these years and for the most part, why HRT seems to work better on younger people.

Anyone ever wonder if maybe getting on a dose of HGH in the first few years would help development, say after testosterone is down to female norms and estrogen is high for mtf.  I'd assume it would help for ftm's when in conjunction with the growing levels of T in terms of muscle mass and maybe even bone development.  I'm just curious if there's ever been anything in regards to this.  I mean with basically no T and raising levels of estrogen, wouldn't taking a few doses of HGH along the way help in terms of development for a mtf.

Again, I don't plan on doing this, just sort of curious.  I mean, I guess I'd ask my endo about it (when I have one) if there were some positive results documented and I could be ensured that I wouldn't grow anymore.  I am really just mostly curious though.

Did some searching for HGH (Human Growth Hormone) and found this thread with no replies from over a year ago.  Does anybody have any input?  I've been wondering about it's ability to help with breast development specifically.  Taken in low doses of course, not the stupid body-builder levels that can seriously screw you up.  I want to perk up my development, not get all big and bulky, ewwww!  :D

I think there were no replies for a very good reason, it sounds like a very dangerous combo.

Well it's a controversial thing for sure. But when administered and monitored by your doctor, it can be beneficial to improve your health and quality of life.  I won't see my endo for a while though and just was trying to gather some research beforehand.

It is controversial topic. I tried an herbal version before. That stuff was supposed to make your body produce more HGH. This with the herbal estrogens to get my boobs to grow under advice of an herbalist who specializes in MtF clients. It didn't work. Leave that HGH stuff alone.

Teens' skeletons are quite androgynous and still growing.  HRT works better on youth because their skeletons grow according to their corrected hormone balance.  At best, it's a bit like putting on sunscreen in the middle of winter in order to force the sun to come out.

I spoke to my endo about this and he said its no good. I don't recall the reason why, and I'm not young anymore.

This is definitely a question for a doctor, not for the internet.

I inject (IM) a very small amount of HGH every evening (before bed) - though it was originally prescribed to me because of autoimmune issues (for which it can be very beneficial).

There is a reasonable basis to conclude that the breasts of natal teenage girls develop fully because of a combination of both estrogens and growth hormone, (plus later in time, progesterone as well).

Also, it is reported there is some 'overhead' in the liver's processing of estradiol (particularly estradiol-valerate when taken orally and to a lesser extent, estradiol-hemihydrate taken sub-lingually and/or estradial-valerate taken via intra-muscular injection), in that there is a depletion of substances in the liver related to HGH such as IGF-1.

Especially by the time an individual is over 40, it is reported that natural HGH levels will likely have dropped very considerably and so boosting levels may (theoretically) assist with breast growth.
