"Transgender athletes will be able to participate in the Olympics without having gender reassignment surgery, according to reports from Outsports. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) updated the guidelines related to transgender athletes in November to more closely reflect standard policy already adopted by other regulatory sports organizations including the NCAA.
