Voice feminization advice?

I've watched many guides on YouTube, and read some random websites, and I don't understand a lot of what they're talking about.

A lot of them talk about raising your larynx, well it goes up a little when I raise the pitch of my voice.  I have no idea if that's what they're talking about, or something else beyond that.

Others talk about male voices resonate in the chest, and female ones are more up in the head.  Well I have no idea what to do about that.  My voice comes from where it comes from.

Some talk about making your voice really high, and then bringing it down.  Others about starting where you naturally speak and raising it.  That just makes me sound like a guy changing the pitch of his voice.  There's nothing remotely feminine about it.

Maybe I just need to keep practising, and it'll come with time, but it'd be nice if I actually had a clearer idea of what I'm supposed to be doing.

Any tips, advice or things like that?

If you put your hand on your upper neck and swallow, that is the action that needs to take place when you are using a trained voice. That will also shift you into a head voice where you will feel the vibrations in your mouth when you speak. You shouldn't need to use your vocal cords to reach the higher voice and your voice cords will be free to put inflection in your voice.

It will take time to use the new method of speaking but if you use it all the time, it will become habit. I find it very hard to drop into the old voice and have to make an extreme effort to do so.

I think it's just something that makes sense once you figure it out and until then, you're confused. I'm still where you're at despite numerous people explaining to me about where that magic spot is here and IRL. I know where the spot is now, but no matter what I do, it still vibrates at the base of my larynx. Not quite into my chest, but it still sounds like a guy trying to fake a girl's voice when I speak.
