My Poor wife and Murphys Law

Tonight I had planned to attend the local Carousel club meeting especially in light of my missing the gender SA group meeting last weekend. Did not go to that meeting due to letting my Dysphoria get the better of me. After discussion with my wife we both decided it was important for me to attend tonight's meeting.

Due to the medications that I take I have difficulty driving late in the day. Although having said that is not unusual for me to have difficulties at 9 AM in the morning. Going back a few months ago I actually had a micro sleep at the traffic lights thankfully while stopped. Lucky for me there were no repercussions from this other than frightening me terribly. As the meeting tonight is later in the day my wife was going to drive me in to ensure I arrived and returned safely.

I received a call from my wife this afternoon when she finished work to say that she was on her way home. This would then give us plenty of time for me to get ready before going out tonight. She arrived home some 40 minutes later and I could tell she was upset only to discover that during her walk back to her car she had tripped on a tree root and gone down face first onto the concrete path very hard, and ended up going down on her knees bruising them both very badly. After making her show me the condition of her knees it was clear to me that she was not driving anywhere tonight. Both knee's were swollen the right one in particular was beginning to show bruising after only 30 minutes, she was able to stand and weight bare but only just. So I have packed her off to her recliner with ice on both her knees with orders to not move.

She began to object saying that she had promised to take me into the meeting and she would "probably" be okay. As she is busy objecting to this her knees continued to swell. In the end she was unable to argue any longer and finally gave in. There is no way I was going to have her complete two 50k round trips with knees she can hardly stand on.

So Murphy's Law is in full swing again, of all the nights that she could have hurt herself it would have to be tonight, I know that must sound a bit harsh but I don't mean it that way.....when I don't want to go out and am feeling crappy about myself I can get there no problem, but when I do want to get there I can't drive myself without risking injury to someone else and my beloved is helpless, confined to her recliner for at least the next day or so.

Like I said Murphy's Law prevails...what can go wrong will go wrong

Hon,

Glory in the fact that she is so concerned and loves you so much that she was willing to do this. That my friend is a special kind of love.

So go and cook dinner, tell her how much you love her, and take care of her.

You can also say that your friend Cindy would love to see her at the next meet up if she would like to come along.

She is a special woman, take care of her. My wife lies paralysed in a nursing home because she tripped and fell.

Give her my love and hope for a speedy recovery.

She has her legs up, I have dosed her up with neurophen and panadol and I think is finally comfortable. The crazy part is ...if I had said to her yes I still want to go she would have taken me without hesitation. I know that which is why I wouldn't say anything other than it will be fine and its no big deal that I don't get out tonight.

Apart from that she could do with the TLC, a few days being looked after won't do her any harm and now I have a legitimate excuse to "confine her to barracks" at least until the swelling goes down in her knee.

You are right she is a pretty amazing woman in many ways, sticking with her trans husband is just one of them. In my entire 52 years she is the best thing to ever happen to me and I will love her for eternity.

Thank you Cindy I will pass on your comments

My wife drives for me after I drink 1 or 2 bottles of wine, as she does not drink so much.
And usually I sleep while she is driving, and it is better than seeing her driving (she makes a lot of sudden stops and starts). But still better than without her.

barbie~~
Just do it.
