So, I've finally decided to make a profile after hanging around a few months. There's so many great people here! I want to start by saying I'm not out but to a few select friends. I'm 24 and currently undergoing hrt (M2F). I love inspirational and philosophical writing. I write lyrical and casual poetry. I'm trying to get singing down but not quite there yet. I'm also a highly creative person and love to swap ideas with like minded people.

When I started browsing this site I was only browsing posts when a question I was interested in was answered. My favorites were the "what made your day today" posts. Seeing how so many people could find so much joy in such simple things inspired me to attempt the same.
The results were that it changed my life. The deep burdening depression I was in slowly lifted. Where I once saw despair I now see hope. A hope for change. It made me a much happier person and allowed me to radiate a good energy over the dark clouds that once encompassed my life. Another thing browsing did was it showed me that there are plenty people like me that are scared of the (what if's?). Yet they trudge on bravely moving forwards regardless of their fear. That display is what gave me the strength to turn a new page to this book I call life and start moving forwards too.

I hope I can make many a friend here and help others as I have been helped as well. To all those posters and to all future posts.
Thank you for everything.  :)

Welcome to Susan's Place. My surgery was 33 years ago but it take very little to put a smile on my face even after all this time. It was the best cure for my depression possible. Besides that, I enjoy spreading that feeling with others through my somewhat twisted sense of humor. I am sure you will be able to share with others and you efforts will be appreciated.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hi Tech, Steph here

Thanks for your aloha on my introduction (loved your pink bow btw :icon_chick: )

I read your post and your so positive. How far are you with HRT? I'm still at the starter block, lots of questions in my head. It was a big step to come here to be honest. I'm just trying to get rid of some of the  boy bits (Shaving body hair, growing hair long etc). i e always wanted to do HRT but it's such a big step. How have you found it?

Loads of love

Steph

You're very much welcome hun.  :icon_chick:

Honestly, I'm not very far into hrt. I started Nov. 3rd last year.
I certainly know what you mean by it being a big step joining though. It took me months lol.
But this is a friendly community to find yourself in. And most are very supportive.

However, my experiences so far.. Sometimes I can get emotional when doing anything that engages my emotions (which for me is everything) although I've always had somewhat heightened emotions. It's also harder to hold back tears now. But the biggest determining factor is that it simply feels right. You know that gut feeling you get when something is off or horribly wrong? I had that nonstop to ever increasing intensities till it was overbearing. I had no choice but to make that step into the hrt abyss. But when I started it seems that feeling has gently eased off. Now it feels like things are going into place. That gut feeling is still there. It's maybe 10% as intense as it was before. That's my drive to keep moving forwards. Until everything has fallen into place.

Body hair removal and adopting things that you're interested in is a great way to get started. You can do subtle things until they become normal. Just always move in the direction that you feel is right.

Thanks for posting however. And I hope I was able to help.
Fire away and make some posts about any questions you have. If I can help I'll even be there too.

With kindness,
Nymph
