Quote from: Lori Dee on June 05, 2025, 10:30:26 AMIt's raining. Again.

On the plus side, it will clean some of the Canadian wildfire smoke out of the air.

Did it clear some of that bad air out?

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

It seemed to while it was raining. Now that the rain has stopped, my sinuses are irritated, and my cough is back. Oh well. Maybe I should move to a higher elevation, like the Rocky Mountains.  ;D

That may be good, as long as you get used to the altitude.

The only time I have issues with altitude is when I do a quick ascent, like driving to the top of the Continental Divide. If I don't exert myself, I am ok. But hiking or prospecting above timberline gets me winded pretty quickly.

I am at about 4,000 feet elevation now, and my mining site is at just over 5,000. There isn't much difference, so it doesn't bother me. I have hiked in Rocky Mountain National Park, climbed Pikes Peak twice, and Longs Peak once. You just have to take your time and drink plenty of water.

Mrs. Oliphant

I read the first post in this topic. It was written ten years ago by Dee. I've never met Dee and don't know if she still visits Susan's. It was a sad post (unhappiness isn't a happy topic). I could list so many names of people I've met here and suddenly disappeared (Princess Rachel, Kat and so many more). And I've only been here a few months. I often wonder if they're okay. If they moved on or are merely taking a break from the pain and drama that so often unfolds inside Susan's (not to discount all the beautiful and spiritual moments I've shared on this site). That's what make me sad today. But it also makes me more determined to share and participate. To reach out to the next anxious and all alone person who finally finds the courage to hit the 'join' button. That's who I was a few months ago. In many ways, it's who I still am. Thank you, Susan, for opening your home to me.

Sat behind 2 scrotes on the bus overhearing them saying they were going to have a dump in a plastic bag and empty it on the tins at the food bank collection  in the supermarket.
I hope they never  need a food bank. I give pasta and tinned food every week even though I'm retired.
