Sorry, I've no idea, but I think its generally a good idea to put more of the question in the title, so that people who do know the answer are more likely to notice it and reply. ie it would have been good to say "where to get hrt in San Diego".

I do not live any where near the left coast. I am on the other side of the country.

What I did is I googled "Transgender friendly endocrinologists". The listing gave me several names and I just called for an appointment.

Please, please, please see a counselor trained in transgender issues before seeing an endocrinologist.

First question is hav u seen a gender therapist yet? If not it's easy to look one up online n see who's in the area. Your gender therapist then would give u the letter after a few appointments n they will most definitely know a doctor to get hrt from. No doctor will see you without that letter.

In California there are lots of Doctors that accept informed consent.  Which means you often do not need a letter from a gender therapist.

still seeing a therapist is a good route to make sure this is really Wat u want cause I've heard of many who detransitioned. Plus u will want a therapist after being on hormones so u can talk to them bout all ur emotions cause u get really depressed on hrt or atleast I am.

Hormones should never be the first thing to do. Gender therapy or Electrolsis should be on the top of your to do list.

You might look for plannedparenthood.

Some offer informed consent, some might do counseling or might know a counselor.

And there are online counselors by the way .

2 years ago a transgender on this site told me that it would be pointless to get electrolysis before hrt cause since testosterone would still be feeding the hair follicles that no matter how many sessions u get it would keep coming back. I'm on hrt n havnt had electrolysis n tbh I've actually loss quiet a few patches of facial hair so in my opinion wait on electrolysis cause hrt may stop some of the hairs from growing n that will make electrolysis cheaper.

If before HRT, most your hairs on your face are terminal, electrolysis is worthwhile as it will permanently kill those terminal hairs despite high T levels. T cannot do anything to stem cells deep inside hair follicles because they are destroyed. In regards to hairs that have not become terminal yet, HRT may revert the process but there is no guarantee while electrolysis is guaranteed. Glad it worked out for you but it may not be the same for everyone. I personally think starting electrolysis ASAP is best and it hurts less before HRT, a plus!
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005
