I made this account pretty recently and thought that I should finally introduce myself here. I'm a 18 year old AFAB person, pre-everything and I've yet to come out to anyone (that should be changing soon). If everything goes well I'll get diagnosed this year.

I may have been a bit vague about my gender here on the forums, but that's because it's hard for me to put into words. The thing is, I never really liked to perceive myself as being any gender when I was younger, and I realized I was trans only about a year ago. I identify as a man, but there's still a tiny bit of agender feelings mixed in (most likely due to all those years I spent not identifying as any gender), if that makes any sense to you. Anyway, this site has been helpful to me whenever I've felt upset or dysphoric, so I'm happy to be a part of the community now! ;D

Hello Swamp.

I don't know what AFAB means but welcome to Susan's Place all the same.

There are I have found, lots of people who can offer really good advice depending on where you stand on your situation.

Ask any question as the only foolish one is the one never asked.

Take are and enjoy Susan's Place

Love,
Clare

Thanks everyone! I find it very encouraging that sites like these exist, since for some people there's no one with whom they can talk face to face about gender related things. Reading about other people's experiences has really helped me accept myself better as well :) !

It's short for "assigned female at birth".
