Okay, so last night, I had a bad dream and I feel as if I'm on the verge of breaking. I dreamt that I was on hormones, and my breasts grew a little, it was going good, but a doctor said I had cancer. In the dream I was sad, but it wasn't too bad. Now that I've woken up I feel my body being crushed and discomfort in my stomach. I just don't know what this means.. I wanted other thoughts and opinions and hopefully a safe sense of reassurance. I cannot control what happens in my dreams, for me it's like a movie. But it was a certain type of cancer... I can't remember the medical name for it, but it was basically butt cancer. Like, what the heck?? Anyway, I'd appreciate some other views. Thank you,
~Faith~

Dreams are just our brain doing weird crap while our logic centres are shut down for sleep. That's not to say they can't be upsetting or distressing. I've had a new HRT implant this week and my dreams have been mega weird and freaky and stupid. Dreams express our deepest desires and fears and all sorts of crazy ideas, don't take anything they tell you literally but if they upset you try to look for the core emotion and what it tells you about your fears and hopes.

Some consider our dreams to be a resettling of daily stimulation for processing or a rehearsal for events to come.  As delightful or disturbing as they can be we are fortunately incapacitated during our dreaming state from acting on them.  We can enjoy the sensation of dreaming but it is not predictive of our health in any meaningful way that we can demonstrate.
