Personal experiences with Midwest GRS?

Hi All!

I have been hesitating to ask this because i Did use the search function and 99% of the replies to questions like this are 'Use the search function'.  I truely do hope you'll forgive me for asking what may seem to be an old over-discussed question. Please trust that the search function did not answer my question and i in now way mean to waste anyones time

So yeah, I'm looking for first-person, experience-based opinions on GRS surgeons in the midwest.  Ive done the search thing and found very little first-person experience with Docs in this area. If there are any here who underwent GRS with Drs McGinn, Leis, or Rumor (or any of the other Surgeons in the region) I would like to hear your recommendations (or Un-recommendations).  Please, personal experiences only.

Welcome to Susan's Place. The advanced site search (access it by clicking on the search with a blank field) is pretty good at locating stuff and we have it all bunched up in the surgical area. Google works pretty good as well in the public area so if you prefer, you can search the site with that. I am not sure how many writeup there are on the other surgeons because they tend not to be the most popular but I think there are a few. There are a few people who will be going to some of those surgeons soon so there may be active threads from their trip.

One problem you will be up against is that often after getting surgery and completing their transition, people leave the site. Most of the times their post will remain but it reduces the odds of getting somebody who has been to one of the surgeons.

I feel so silly!  The Search function - now why didnt i think of that?!?

I mention the search function only because to some degree it's user hostile. In the moderator area it's the only tool we have for digging through thousands of threads and sometimes it's difficult to make it work right without a bunch of tweaking in advanced mode.
