Hello I'm sophia

I'm MTF just in case anyone was wondering.

I recently i have found the coourage to try wearing something feminine and i have been looking and decided to get knee high boots or something. The trouble that I'm having is that i don't know any brands that run bigger and i wear a size 10.5 wide shoe and size 11 non wide in mens. It's really difficult for me to find boots i like. I did go to the store and look and tried a size and it was to small. My mom made me feel embarrassed in public and kind of lost some hope that nothing will fit.

So if anyone knows any or has any adivce than that would be great

Try looking at www.longtallsally.com . The only problem I might see is that things might be to small. Others should be posting other stores soon because there are several on the web that deal in larger than normal sizes.

There are bigger shoes, and you are wide so that's a good thing. It's nigh impossible to get big shoes if you don't have wide feet.Same with calves. Which is the problem in boots. The larger sizes always have really wide calves.

Just need to check out a dedicated store for bigger sizes if you can't fit in anything in a regular store.
I will touch a 100 flowers and not pick one.

That's really good to hear that my wide feet are useful. I always didn't like my wide feet but now i feel ggod that they are wide. Most places i know that are by me only sell narrow boots i think. I hope i can find a good boot that i could wear

I found that Nine West has a great selection, although in the US boots are becoming harder to find now that the spring fashions are appearing.  They have, at least in the Chicago land area, lots of 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5 and 11's left in the outlet stores (I've been to two).

BTW - I've worked up the courage to try on women's shoes in the store and NOT ONCE has anyone batted an eye.  I've had clerks help and in one case even another customer made some suggestions.  As others have commented many times, the world didn't end.  Now I actually like going into stores to try on shoes.  Just call me Imelda ;)

My shoe size is 11B, and it is difficult to find my size at department stores, so I shop online. My favorite online retailer is zappos.com and they have a huge selection in my size (and larger). I get next day shipping, and returns are free, and easy to do.

Payless also has lots of styles up to Ladies size 13 (~mens 11 or so).  I wear a mens 12, and have found boots online at Payless, Zappos and Long Tall Sally (formerly Barefoot Tess).
