Just had an orchiectomy this morning to remove both testicles. Finally got rid those retchid things and no more spiro.  I grew to hate those awful pills.

Good for you.  I have an appointment to see my urologist on Feb. 8th to see if he'll accept my therapist's letter recommending an orchiectomy.  If not, my therapist is recommending me to another doctor here who does them for the trans community with a letter.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Does anyone know how long it will take for testosterone levels to drop after orchiectomy.

Better an ice bag than a nut bag maybe :D   I wonder if your T levels will change much?   After some time on spiro you may very well have had rather vestigial testes.

Congratulations, I go in next week to see my surgeon and will join you in the T free section soon ;D

Orchiectomy in the morning, and feeling up to blogging the same afternoon?  Wow!  You're one tough cookie!

Hope it works out for you exactly as intended!

Congratulations! I've been wanting an orchiectomy for a while too. (You can still have SRS after an orchiectomy, right?)

Actually, the recovery process from an orchi is pretty easy to deal with. I remember when I had mine several years ago, I was fine with sitting at the computer chair or on the couch. The bags of frozen peas came in handy. The only thing that I hated was sending people to the grocery store for me since I didn't want to lift anything. Other than that, it was a piece of cake.
