My name is Kristy and I just came out less than a week ago as transgender even though I have felt like woman for as long as I can remember being new to being out I still have problems using pro-nouns when referring to myself and may go back and forth until I am used to her, and she. I may refer to myself  as Chris which is the name my parents gave me and in person prefer to be called until I can come out to family and friends that are not on Facebook. I would also like to thank you for this bbs

Welcome to Susan's Place. When I was very young, the neighbors had two girls and one was named Kriss. Until you can get the family using your new name, you might think of that. The transition involves learning many new and different things. People treat you different, you are expected to do different things and you look at the world from a different view. We understand how new and different this will be to you because many of us are in the process of transition. As for me, I finished it off 33 years ago but I still clearly remember that portion of my life. Feel free to ask me any questions and don't worry about offending me. I am here to help you and am very open about my life.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Kristy:

Welcome and congratulations.  The early days have a lot of adjustments and in time the repetitive nature of life supplants the old with new, which by then feels like the new old (or something like that  :D  ).

Stay in touch as your voice adds to the impact of the sight has as we read and respond to one another.

All the best,

Rachel
