I have been working in the same job now for about 10 years and i have always been satisfied regarding it because it is not a hard job, but it is physically demanding.. Anyway since i have been back after my surgery i now feel completely different about the job and think that now it is not for me.. I feel that i am better than it and that i could do more with my life than just stack shelves and take orders from people who sometimes treats me like dirt... So now im studying so i can now move on to better things so i can start a career and not just a job...

So i guess my question is : when you started transition and you was saving money for your srs, wore you satisfied? And after your SRS did you start to see things differently ?

I do feel that now my mind is more clear and i am more focused regarding life and it is no longer full of that horrible static.. And i do feel that this is the reason i feel the way i do regarding work...

Take care Lea xxx

While I haven't crossed the SRS barrier I certainly have a sense of what you are talking about. I totally changed my attitude to my work and job after I transitioned to full time. I think it may have something to do with feeling aligned with yourself and wanting the best for yourself and to do the best you can.

Being oneself tens to change one's outlook on a number of things.  This did not happen to me but a lot of other things did happen....

Congrats

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

I'm not on the meds yet but... I've often felt better than some of the jobs I've done. Nothing wrong with ambition or wanting a change.

Yes, I was comfortable with myself. My SRS was wonderful and I love being shaped the way I should be, but it really hasn't changed my relationship to my gender.

Though it has gotten me much more curious about men.

Thanks for your replys.. It has been wonderful to hear different experiences regarding my questions...

Yeah. I know it sounds strange but when i was saving and i still struggled with dysphoria. I seen the job as a gateway to better things.. Only there because i needed to be there. So making the most of it was the only way to go. And having good people there helped allot too. Made things easier.. But now. I dont know.. Nothing has changed really but now i just feel like there is so much more i could do, because all the dysphoria seems to have gone and i can now focus more... On what i want and not what i need to do... Just made me think of asking others to see if they experienced the same things...

Hope you all are well, happy and safe

Hey!! While I still have  the career I transitioned in, I feel like I perform better and focus much easier than before. Granted, I sit at a desk all day and shoot emails and program, but this is detail oriented work.

Move on up (:

Good luck and I hope you find something fulfilling. What you think that could be?? Just curious.

Hiya audreelyn, well im very good with computers (networking) as i do it for a hobbie. I really enjoy writing coding and seeing something come to life..  It has always fascinated me... I have been doing it for years.. But never had the opportunity to take it any further than that... I just think now i can focus more on it.. I would love to get my degree and do it as a career..  When i was younger i started in retail and it just stuck so i never really had the opportunity to do it..

But now i think why not...
