Vassar Feminist Prof under student fire for allegedly using improper Transgender pronouns

"Social justice" activism at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, is becoming self-parody, and not in a good way.

"We have covered extensively the anti-Israel activism that has led to anti-Semitic incidents in 2014 and 2016. Among other things, in 2014 Jewish students who stood up at a campus-wide forum were mocked and jeered by a raucous crowd of students and faculty, a class was picketed and a professor forced to cross a picket line of ululating students because the course involved a trip to Israel (and the West Bank), Students for Justice in Palestine posted a Nazi cartoon on social media, and pro-Israel displays were vandalized."

I gave up on this article after a few sentences. It was so poorly written and rambled so that whatever meager information was contained within couldn't possibly be worth the effort to parse the writer's words.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Clearly written by right-wingers who think progressive student activism of all stripes is wrong.  Focusing ridicule on a feminist professor who messed up on some pronouns.  The people who run and read "legalinsurrection" are clearly folks who hate both feminism and transgender folks equally (as well as any other progressive student thought).

This.  There's a lot of so-called writing out there that's produced by nutjobs, and it's not something I want to spend my time on. Also, to the extent that the people who run websites like this are tracking clicks, and perhaps even links to their articles from other sources, we're supporting them by treating them as "news." Not everything with the word "transgender" in it deserves our attention.

I'm truly having trouble seeing the problem. The article is written by a trans student who had taken courses with a professor who misgendered students in transition. I definitely must be missing something.

Actually, no, it isn't written by a trans student. The author is one William A. Jacobson, who is a lawyer who works for the financial industry. Here's his bio:

The first four paragraphs of the article make his politics fairly clear, and they ain't progressive.
