Stuff around your computer...

What interesting stuff do you have around your computer? Post a pic and describe!! ;D

The Yoda is from an original early 1980's manufacture, still in his fabric over coat. No doubt would be priceless if still in his packaging. Oh well!!

The story behind the ice cream eating anime bikini girl is just too convoluted to get into; short version, she's a gift from a friend who visited a Chinese doll making factory... (as is the mafia like Polar Bear)

Nunzilla was a Secret Santa gift from a work Xmas lunch many years ago... if you wind her up she walks and spits sparks from her mouth!!

The weird blue thing is a "Tooly Bird" fished from a cereal package circa 1969-70...

Oh interesting!

A note pad, my phone, my Ipad, a clock on USA time.

I won't mention the naughty bits! ( OK a glass of Laiphroig single Malt)

Above me on the wall a wood cut by Miniar Zolo (ex Mod) of Odin's Crows, who always tell the truth. And a gorgeous painting by Nero - 'I am who I am' (given to me by his Mum on the first anniversary of his death).

Behind me my bluetooth speakers blasting classic rock from Apple Radio

Oh and a fly spray - blowies have reached the size of bats. If two land on my desk they could take it away.

Jeez psychoanalysis by belongings.

Can't really get a picture, but I'll describe the stuff anyway.
Well, first of all this plushie gecko from Mallorca, which I place on top of the laptop when I don't use it.
Then, laying about near it are this weird metallic puzzle-thing, two wooden snakes, a pile of magazines (mostly Donald Duck and a local video game monthly) a plastic Stegosaurus figurine, a small statue of Zeus (from a holiday in Greece, obliviously), my Nintendo DS, a polar bear piggy-bank, my collection of amulets and necklaces, a pile of pens in a self-made wooden box, my coursebooks, a magnifying glass, and occasionally this random spider who has been wandering around my room for the last three months or so.
And yes, my table is a complete mess.
There is a better tomorrow.

A stack of papers, a stapler, my phone, my watch, another stack of papers... it would be pretty boring if not for my *Think Testicles* coffee mug.

My computer sits on a pile of dust and debris that would be best used to nourish
some farmers field. That's right, I have a laptop!

my environment happens to be whatever restaurant I'm sitting in to get the free WiFi. Although when I was in 3rd grade I always made sure my dinosaur was sitting on my desk.

I'm sure my stegosaurus and your triceratops would be great friends!

Notebooks and other misc writing/note taking stuff and papers, lamp (I love lamp), phone, pocket knife, router, WAP, flashlight, hand cream, nail file, lip balm, tic-tacs, altoids, gum, other gum, some other kind of breath mint (I like candy okay! Don't judge me >:/), vanilla candle, hair elastics, hair clip.

I'd clean all this crap up but I use it all fairly often, and my desk doesn't have drawers or anything in which to put stuff.

The rest of my room is clean though! Except for all the stuff on the floor, and dresser, and things sitting in/on my book case which aren't books. Okay okay, my room is a disaster area. Some day I'm going to buy something with drawers that's not my dresser so I can keep all the clutter organized and hidden from sight.

Some day...
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

The mess around my computer is obscene. Think: a corner desk 5 ft on the left, 10 ft on the right, with about two square feet around the keyboard that isn't covered in junk.

My living room doubles as a studio and there's nowhere else to put all my sculpting crap.

I work from a recliner next to a bookcase filled with my sheet music. The filled bookcase is heavy enough to support an Ergotron arm with extension and a large monitor. It swings out over the recliner. The mini Mac has its little place in the bookcase. I use a lapboard for my keyboard. A mouse on the left arm and a trackpad on the right of the recliner. I use a donut pillow to lock my head in place (damage in my neck syndrome).

So I've got no place to put knick knacks. I like clean. The room also serves as an entertainment center so I can just push the monitor out of the way to watch movies. And with lots of space, I can also play my instruments in the middle when I want to set up.

For you, Grace, anything.

To the left of my laptop is a cheap landline phone. Yes, I still use a landline. To the right of the laptop are a couple of remote controls for the TV and DVD player, my cell phone, digital voice recorder, some USB to mini USB cables and my eyeglasses case.

This is what is on the shelf of the computer desk:

A small figurine of Dotty Dog from the Get Along Gang on top of the speaker.
A small doll of Dotty that has new clothes and been renamed "Doris".
A Dotty magnet on the grill.

Your basic boring desk lamp that has some ink pens and a calculator in the proper places.

A wooden thing with art of Portia Porcupine (also from the Get Along Gang) to the left of the speaker. A small figurine of Portia on top of the speaker. A Portia magnet on the grill. A pre-CBS version of Portia resting against the speaker. Portia with new clothes and renamed Patricia (aka Patty) to the right.

Is that your whole collection of Get Along Gang stuff, or is there more?

No. I also have four plushies: Larger ones of Portia & Dotty with new clothes. There's also smaller ones with new clothes and renamed Patricia & Doris.

I've still got a children's size desk from the year 2000 so there's literally only space for my pc + a cup of tea on it. my monitor is too low so i put it on a stack of books that i didn't like. They're there to be punished. :P

A bill to be paid, a Mini-Maglite, some external drives, flash drives, SD cards and a copy of The Danish Girl sitting on top of a copy of Tom Clancy's Without Remorse.  My coffee cup with pink roses and my name on it that I did the decals and fired in the kiln myself.  A Speer manual for handloading ammo, a can of compressed air, my GPS that I just updated.  Three film cameras, one 1980s vintage, one 1970s vintage and one 1957 vintage.  There would be more but I straightened up a little.  ;D
