For the past 6 months maybe I've known that I REALLY need an adjustment with my hormones, but I am afraid to go to a doctor for anything since I am trans. I don't even know if my doctor who prescribes me my hormones now knows I am trans (I asked for a doctor who wouldn't ask questions who would continue my prescription from America here). At first I was like 'oh they will just screw up or screw me over if I try to get help,' but I am to a point where I NEED help with it. I THINK I am having signs of hypothyroidism, my body has been so out of whack with its hormones, I need help but I don't know where to go to here. =/ Can someone help refer me from personal experience? I really need someone who has personally gone somewhere and can vouch for them being 100% able to do this. Like, I've seen online some resources that are like, "Yeah these places PROBABLY are cool with trans people maybe," but I don't want to risk that you know? Sorry for the long rant, I just don't know what to do. I was having pains down there for awhile and I am 99% it is hormone related too which sucks, and I had to stop hormones for like a month so that the pain could subside.

Saitama Medical College (Tokyo, Japan; not a standard clinic, but has formed gender clinic committees to help people transition; http://www.jinjapan.org/trends98/honbun/ntj981128.html)

If you're in Tokyo, My City Shinjuku Clinic is great, cheap, and the doctor speaks very good English.

Sorry, thank you for the links but the first one doesn't link to a working site and I couldn't find information about the Shinjuku clinic (maybe it isn't open anymore).

I've no personal experience with either, but here are the URLs of the clinics mentioned above

Saitama Medical University Gender Clinic:
http://www.saitama-med.ac.jp/kc/link3/3.html
(The page says they're not taking new patients at the moment, but if you're in trouble it may be worth a try.)

Shinjuku Mycity Clinic:
http://www.mycity-clinic.com

There are also other clinics that list gender-related services—e.g. http://www.nagumo.or.jp/tokyo/gid.php
While the home pages are almost always in Japanese, most doctors here do speak English.

Ugh, I'm sorry—I now realize that according to the terms of service I shouldn't have posted those clinic links. My sincerest apologies to everyone.

Kind and gentle Moderators, please remove the above post.

username11111, if there's a way for you to contact me, I'll send you the URLs of the clinics mentioned above privately.
If not, with the moderators' permission, perhaps I can post a search string (in Japanese) with which you can hopefully find the sites using a search engine.

well, from my point of view I'd not risk my health and potential life by being worried about seeing a doctor and being honest about what your doing.

Welcome to Susan's Place zirconia. We tend to have a little give in the rules and as the links are intended to be helpful. I will leave them. The rule mostly exist because I have remove some pretty off color and off topic links and time on the site will give you a feel for what is appropriate.  As this is your first and second post, I am assuming that things are pretty well under control for the moment but let me know if there is anything I can help you with. I am leaving you with a copy of the links so you are aware of all of them as some are helpful.

Thank you for the links! I might contact the Shinjuku people, but if anyone else has personal experience let me know.
