The Advocate/By Trudy Ring February 13 2016 4:01 PM  EST

"The West Virginia House of Delegates has advanced a bill that would allow any business or individual to cite religious beliefs as an excuse not to obey any state or local law, something that critics say would enable discrimination against LGBT people and other minority groups."

If you know West Virginia, you will know that it is plunging headlong into the 20th century.  Hard to find a more backward place.

West Virginia advertises itself as bring as close to heaven as you can expect to get on earth; I am glad I am going straight to hell where all my friends are.

I believe with a my heart that anti-LGBT bigotry is evil and the world would be a better place without such bigots. Does that mean if I go around murdering anti-LGBT bigots I can cite my religious beliefs as a reason not to obey local anti-murder laws?
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Religious beliefs can be a broad based term. It would be interesting to ask what their religious beliefs are. Many hide behind religion and the bible to justify their own biases. Too bad West Virginia is so behind the times and not just in this area either.

Their religious objections rest in the fear that God is going to hurl lightening bolts out of the sky at America unless they can rid it of LGBT.

They have become comical in their religious paranoia.  Unfortunately, their irrational Bronze Age delusion effects real thinking people, namely us.
