after 26+ years of wrestling with the ambiguity that is this whole mess, i admitted to myself about a year ago that i definitely wasn't a dude, and about three months ago begun to alter my presentation. i'm not at a point where i'm able to deal with acquiring medical treatment, but would still very much appreciate a brutally honest critique. like, for real roast. i aim to pass eventually, and cant learn unless i'm told what i can do better or what i'm just doing wrong (i'm just learning about clothes, for example)

anyway, let er rip

me last july VS last week

Hi and Welcome to Susan's. As far as your makeup you don't look bad at all. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

You seem to be off to a good start, you look pretty passable to me. Given your look/style is something I'm not all that into myself I can't really comment on ways you might improve if that's even needed. If you have gal pals into the same style maybe they can help out?

I don't see why you wouldn't pass in the future as your face looks pretty feminine already. The only thibg I would say is you may need a forehead work to correct the shape and receding hairline as these are not generally affected by hrt.

I love the third picture! I love your dreads. I once had dreads but they looked ratty compared to yours.

In all honesty, you don't look female. You should grow your hair and soften the make up. most CIS women doesnt swear make up that heavy.

Lighting effects the look of the brow line in everyone.
Shade and contour for multiple lighting conditions. For your own reference take shots under different lights and that.
Selfies really do help, despite all the teasing the word 'selfie' gets. Looking in a mirror can confuse the brain. My hands don't know what to do in the mirror sometimes when I'm trying to get some part of my brow. A snapshot is good reference.
Good job on yours!
I think your brows look best in #2 & #3.

And how are you hiding your 5 o'clock, that's a fairly dark beard in the first shot. You say 'au natural'. I'm a noob, whats the trick? I don't see a hint of shadow in the other photos.

And piercings? I guess it's an age thing. In my day doing the ear was "controversial".
And for myself, as I have grown my hair longer, I have enjoyed it more.

Clothes style? Hey I see all women in all types of clothes, I don't think there is a standard.
Except maybe dressing at one's maturity level, you dress like any 26 year old. You have a fairly androgynous look going on there. Nice, clean, classy, modern. I don't know the social environments you hang around in. You don't look wall street. You'd fit in fine on the west coast though.

Thanks for the honest critique squirebuffy. I'm not sure what I'm doing with my hair just yet, but the makeup thing has toned itself down XD I realized I looked like I was going to the club.

As far as beard shadow, Jesus (not Allowed) I have a full beard. I have shadow from nearly my collarbone up >:( best results have come from an against the grain shave followed by yellow tinted color corrector followed by concealer, followed by foundation and the rest of my makeup. My shadow is blue/purple, so orange was too dark, but yellow did the trick.
