My new vagina looks like an alien!!!

I go srs surgery finally, and I'm so happy omg, I just saw my vagina for the first time today, and it looks like a monster, all swollen and bubbly, it'd be unrecognizable as a vagina. My surgeon reassures me it'll look fine bit I'm freaking out.

Please tell me I'm not the only one to experiance this, it looks so creepy, tell me everyone's looks like that first right?

Did you expect it to look perfect and healed right after the surgery? Severe swelling is normal for such invasive surgery, and as your healing will progress, it will slowly and slowly start to look more and more normal. Final result will take its time, it can be a year with some surgeons, or sooner with other. Congratulations!!!

I didn't expect to look perfect, but I also didn't expect it to look this bad I guess hehe.

My surgeon warned me it would look like a "frankenpussy" (yes, she used that very word) for at least six months.

It looks OK now, about 19 months post-op. It doesn't look exactly like a cis VJ, but it has all the parts it ought to have, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Have you seen other SRS results from your surgeon? There's often photo's posted somewhere on Internet.

I've seen some that look pretty ugly at the start turn out fine after a while.

Don't look at me. My surgery was supposed to be done in two part if I wanted things to look CIS. I only had the first part and I don't really feel the need to get 2.0 as it would be mostly cosmetic. So far the only people who have viewed it from that angle have been medical personal and I am not about to correct it just for them

My surgeon described it as franken-pussy.  My poor bottom looked like raw hamburger.  It will take weeks for the healing and swelling to go down.

But trust me, all will be well in the end.  You'll look just fine.

It does look unrecognizable at first.. but the swelling will go down. But it was exciting to see it for the first time. I remember i was in cloud nine.. and i loved my vagina from the first day.

I am over 2 years post op and it healed nicely and looks like a cis-womens vagina. In my bathroom I have a full length mirror and I often after I have showered like to stand naked in front of it and admire my female body, especially the vagina.

Congratulations and welcome to the club.

Yes, appearances downstairs will take time to recover from major surgery.  Your healing may arrive either sooner or later.

Follow doctor's orders for best results.  Stay in bed when ordered, exercise only as permitted, take your meds on schedule, and perform dilation as directed.  Excess movement can damage your stitching and disrupt healing.  Your meds will include an anti-swelling prescription.

Some surgeons include a 'look, but do not touch' directive.  Use your mirror to watch as the entirety of your anatmy progresses; keep your medical team in the communication loop.

An honest, reputable surgeon will watch your progress during your present post-op recovery period.  They will also work with you to make needed post-op post-recovery corrections.

Know that this anatomy comes in variety among the cis-endowed; yours will be yours, as unique as you.
