A confusing topic I know but I felt it needed a mention.

Basically I've moved off to university and I have to stay in a communal dorm I've not yet gone to see a gender therapist and nobody knows I have insecurties about my gender and I haven't seen a therapist yet either. I know I ought to I'm alittle too self-concious at the moment to do so tho.

Recently there was a minor dispute about crockery as you would expect in communal places with 18-20 year olds me and a chinese guy have similar looking bowls and plates and I unintentionally was using one of his when It got mixed up with my own. He got upset about it and left a little post-it on said bowl complaining about the "hijacking of his stuff and not cleaning it afterwards" anyway I realized it wasn't one of mine I washed it and put an anynonmus apology on it.

Skip forward abit and he finds the cleaned bowl and note and he says. "Well I'm not sure who they were but I'm certain it was one of the girls." a couple of us ask "how do you know that?" He explains he had to learn english calligraphy and after showing everyone my own apology note he mentions explicity "There is no man on this earth that has handwriting like that."
He then explains in this case it's the i's a's y's and g's that make it distinctly female.

Not knowing how he or others would have actually have responded if he knew it was me I said nothing. But I must confess it did make me feel giddy warm inside especally when I wasn't even trying to cause that effect at the time I was just writing an apology note.

Has anyone else had a similar type of story? where it's a really subtle nuonce's cause all the confusion. The only other time I've caused that effect is with pepole with poor eyesight who typically guage gender at distance by movement.

i had a similar experience when i was in high school. the girls were actually envious of my wonderful writing... i dont think the guys cared much at all. i guess its just the more rounded appearence that makes it so feminine. guys usually scribble. hense is why they were probably confused with mine.

I have been accused in the past of having girls handwriting - mainly because I like people to be able to read what I am writing - and it made me conscious of me letting my feminine side slip out when I was trying so

hard at the time to hide it, so I found I developed two distinct forms of writing. One for my business work which was like doctors prescription scribble, and another for personal things like my diary.

Now I'm past caring and find it a compliment to be reminded of it.

If all I had to do was write in order to pass, I'd have no problems.

If only it were that easy. :D
