Conservative Trolls Encourage Men to Enter Women's Restrooms to Protest Trans Protections

"In a shocking yet somehow unsurprising display of absolute ignorance, a group of conservative trolls has started encouraging men to go into women's restrooms and locker rooms in a sort of twisted demonstration against the protections currently in place for transgender people. The Stranger reports that in the "Keep Locker Rooms Safe" Facebook group, a commenter suggested a protest wherein they should get "male protesters to occupy the female locker rooms, and female protesters to occupy the male locker rooms" in an attempt to "shut down the business.""

They show their agenda there pretty clearly.

By encouraging men into women's restrooms its nothing to do with keeping women safe and everything to do with hate.

Ignorance is bliss.  Far easier to protest and not know, than take the time to understand apparently.  With that said, I am basically a conservative, who understands who she is, and no where in the constitution does it say we shall put down all ideas we once considered foreign.  But I digress.  I know of many supportive friends who also happen to have viewpoints as mine and are conservative.  I'd probably more accurately describe the people in the article as pluralistic.  An unfortunate trait commonly held on both sides of the spectrum.

It just occurred to me that this could actually backfire on them if/when women begin to understand that it's cisgender men doing this and not us. Maybe what they are doing in a twisted kind of way could work to prove our point that we are harmless and its cisgender men with this fantasy.

Just maybe....... one can certainly hope.

Or maybe they won't mind being in the same room with men, who would just be standing around and not actually being a safety concern, and we can just get rid of segregated locker rooms altogether (yeah, this is more unrealistic than that scenario, but I can hope as well)
