Hi, everyone! I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, but I have a few questions as I dive into my female life, that I'm sure may sound pretty dumb. Oh well!

1. Can I wear my bra to sleep? I feel like it might be really nice to wake up feeling more physically female. A bra would help that quite a bit. I'm a 36A, and my bra seems to fit pretty well.

2. How long can I keep my nail polish on? Is that even a thing? I'm so dumb. XD

3. Am I going to be executed for sitting with my legs open at any point. I am a girl who looooves putting her feet up on the chair, whenever I am in a very casual place, and that often results in me sitting with both feet up, legs apart. I also do the 4-figure sit a lot. Is that going to get me looks?

4. I write a lot of fiction, and sometimes, cause I'm such a loser, I physically act it out when I am alone. Should I be worried if I'm still always imagining myself as a male in the fictional stories I write/act out?

5. Uuum this is going to be a very intimate question, so feel free to skip it! I'd like to start changing my masturbation to something that satisfies more of a woman's body. I am finding that my old method is not as effective anymore. Does anyone have any tips? D:

6. Any sort of exercises, or training anyone can recommend to make my legs look more feminine?

Thank you so much for any answers. ^_^

Good afternoon, Katie!

Generally speaking, you can do whatever the hell you like!  There's no Transgender Police who will arrest you for not being trans in the Approved Way.

1.  You can sleep in whatever you like.  If you like wearing your bra, wear it!  Some women might find a bra binding or uncomfortable in bed, but do what you like.  I have some nice nightgowns I wear.  And lots of the time I don't wear anything in bed.

2.  Welcome to the ranks of women.  Cis women spend lots of time stressing over their nails.  I did, too.  I rarely wear nail polish any more.

3.  Put your feet anywhere you like.  I also like putting my feet up when I'm sitting.  The only limitation I would see is propriety.  In a formal or business situation it would seem odd.  And it also depends on what you're wearing.  It doesn't matter as much with pants.  But when you're in a dress or a skirt, having your legs spread may send some signals you didn't intend to send.  There's a lot of trans folklore about ways ladies are supposed to sit.  Don't fall for it.  Be yourself!

4.  Don't put yourself down for being creative!  You're learning about your female side, and you have years of experience as a guy.  This means you have insight into the minds of both men and women, and this is a priceless advantage for writers.

There are lots of men writers who try to express what their female characters are thinking and botch it incredibly.  They have no clue.  (Ernest Hemingway, for one.)  A great writer is one who can really understand what's going on inside the minds of both male and female characters.  (Gore Vidal.  Or George Eliot.)

Don't fight this ability.  It's a gift.  Treasure and nurture it.

5.  Eeek!  Here we go into "Too Much Information Land."  Well, here goes!  (I'm sure glad this is an anonymous forum!)

As far back as I can remember (long before transition) I used to masturbate as guys do, but almost always imagined myself inside my head as female, taking a female role, being penetrated by a lover.  I usually masturbated lying on my back with legs slightly apart like a female in the "missionary position."  One thing I noticed was that it felt good to press on the perineum (area between genitals and anus) while masturbating.  I believe that in anatomical terms, this was because the area transmits the pressure onto the prostate gland.  This felt good because it induced pleasurable sensations inside my body at the same time I was experiencing pleasure to my outer genitals.  I think I liked this pleasure because it seemed to heighten my fantasy of being penetrated sexually.  It felt more female to me, which I liked.

Try slipping your penis between your thighs, crossing your legs, and rhythmically tensing your thigh muscles pressing inwards.  Some women masturbate this way.  (Without the penis, of course!  Maybe THAT'S the reason for the convention that proper young ladies should sit with their legs daintily crossed!)

As HRT moves forward, you're going to experience some new erotic sensations in your breasts.  Find some moves that incorporate those new feelings.

6.  Lots of treadmill and stairclimber work!  Great for your health anyway, no matter how your legs look!

You're not dumb, Katie.  And you're not a loser.  You're intelligent and creative, and you're making important decisions about your life.  Please stop putting yourself down in your posts.  Love and respect yourself, because you deserve love and respect.
