What makes Aravosis' disregard for transgendered people so heinous is not that so many of them fought for the rights and safety that he now enjoys, but that he knows the truth and is deliberately attempting to mislead the uninformed public while giving a handjob to the bigots to help himself get ahead. John Aravosis knows what happened at Stonewall and he knows who was there. His willful attempt to re-write history for the deliberate purpose of attempting personal gain at the expense of transgendered people, the very people who helped force the first serious discussion of queer rights in American history, is beyond disgusting.
