Hi All,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Shea, I live in Los Angeles, and am still in the early stages of my transition. I've been out to a select group of very supportive friends and family members for almost 6 months now.

I am very involved with the roller derby scene here in L.A. and may end up strapping on some skates and joining the fun myself once I am further along with my transition. I have found a lot of support and understanding in the derby community, they are truly a wonderful group of women.

That said, this community seems just as extraordinary. I have been reading many the forums here and have found the people and the information provided extremely helpful.

I wish you all a great week. I am truly glad I found this amazing community.

Welcome to Susan's Place. When I transition, not only did I lack Susan's but I also lacked the internet. I found Susan's looking for voice surgery information and it is a little amazing to me how many of my questions would have been answered if a resource like this existed then. Feel free to explore the site and if you have questions, post them on this thread and I will answer them.
