Hair transplant

I've been looking around to see where I can get a reasonably priced hair transplant as I have slight MPB at the front of my head.

I have one major concern, when I called the woman said that my whole head would have to be shaved to 1 mm in order to facilitate the transplant. While I won't transition 'till next year this would be rather unpleasant as I've been growing my hair for the last year.

This is very frustrating as they are about half of the price of the UK and seem experienced. Has anyone hard of the company or used them? I'd welcome others opinions.

Yes, Hair Palace are great.
Cutting the hair to 1 mm is required to do the op. Simple fact...and it can takes about a year to see the result.
If there was another way, I'm sure someone would do it, but this seems the best way.

They are probably using the FUE (unit follicle) rather than the FUT (strip) method.  The FUT method doesn't require that the whole head be shaved.  Why are you choosing the FUE method?  The follicle survival rate is much lower than with FUT.

Yes, they are using the FUE method, and they guarantee a certain success.
FUE has the advantage of no scarring afterwards, and the pain is a lot less.
It just takes time and patience to do.

The choice of FUE vs FUT is mainly a matter of the number of grafts required and the amount of donor hair available.  FUE will typically provide an 80% survival rate while FUT is more like 98%.  If there is concern about having enough donor hair for adequate coverage, FUT is the way to go.  For cases of significant MPB with limited donor material, FUT is almost always the best choice, possibly followed by FUE as a final touch up where more density is needed.

Im 27 and had a HT on 1st march in thailand at Million hair transplant centre.

they were amazing, there was little to no pain, I slept through most of it.

I opted for FUT, I had 3000grafts and it cost me around $8000 aud or $6000 USD.

My hairline has come down 1cm in the centre of my face (which is exactly what i needed for my 1/3's to be equal) and I had my receded corners bought right forward.

very happy so far and I know I will get a great result.

That sounds great, and well worth the money.
The thought of wearing a wig forever is very negative.
Its OK getting your hair shaved to 1 mm before transition, but not after.

Does anyone know of a cheap, good FUT clinic in Europe?

When you don't have much hair to begin with, or a small donor area, this seems the only choice...

I disagree. I'm trying to grow my hair, not lose it. I'd rather pay more than have to suffer the indignity of having my head shaved.

Im getting my hair done in Korea for less than a dollar per graft. Korea is number 1 in the world for cosmetic procedures imo. About hair, there is 2 methods FUE and FUT. In Fue is known as the strand method. Where they take is one graft at a time. This method requires your head at the back to be shaved as a BOX shape. ORRRRR you can do it without shaving by individually cutting hair strands and harvesting the grafts in that manner. I have done this very method 3 months ago for the front of my hair line.

For the top of my head I am using the FUT method as the survivability is much much higher. Also you should try minoxidil. I gave up on finesteride because oddly for me, my MPB stopped and now im having Female pattern baldness? Wth right? And im not even on hormones yet so i dont know how it happened
