"(CNN)—Former first lady Nancy Reagan, who joined her husband on a storybook journey from Hollywood to the White House, died Sunday.

She was 94.

Reagan died at her home in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure, according to her spokeswoman, Joanne Drake, of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library."

That's too bad, she was a nice lady.  Her husband also.  I very briefly met her and President Reagan once a long time ago a couple of months after he got shot.  They were at my college graduation and he shook hands with every one of us.  She stood the whole time and either shook hands or hugged us all.

Nancy Reagan dies aged 94, LGBT community remembers her history on AIDS crisis

"As the US mourns Nancy Reagan, who died on Sunday aged 94, members of the LGBT community point to her involvement in the AIDS crisis.

The former first lady died from congestive heart failure, her estate announced after the news was broken by TMZ.

But despite headlines describing her as "fiercely loyal" "dignified" and "warm", and others pointing to her involvement in the 'Just Say No' drugs campaign, others point to her questionable history during the AIDS crisis."
