Barefooted. Wearing a shirt and thin boxer briefs, locked my door to my room (its connected to a kitchen room), thought it was deadbolted. My wallet, room key, left behind. To get a new key I would have to walk half a mile, not presentable at all. Least had my cell phone, and so went on a dating app and look for the closest man I could find. (I wasnt going to ask my friends to help me too embarrasing!) . I told him I would pay for his help too, but never ask for a ride. If I was unattractive he may not had help me as much, or care about my comfort since it was raining.

He knocked on the door, his body tower over me, and he brought clothing with him. He decided to take me there. And at the end, he didnt want the money or anything. He seem very nice and happy to help me. He was about my age too perhaps a year younger, but I have a hunch he will ask me out later since he did it during his lunch break. Quite busy. He said he was happy to meet me and ask me my name, and he told me his.

-------
It got me to thinking, almost all "damsel in distress" situations lead to a guy being highly attracted to me. Its the only thing that makes me more attractive than other women at times. Im not trying to be a woman either at the moment.

Do you think damsel in distress promotes attractiveness to guys who like being the "white knight"? Gay, bi or straight guys are still men, and I think being the protector is something they enjoy.

Well its a few factors coming together which can help a feeling of closeness:
the feeling to be needed
a situation away from everyday life
someone opening up calling for help

all together its like an adventure together ... so of course there might be a feeling of having something in common ...

By the way such things like shut doors happen if you are too much in your head and mentally not present ... being somewhere else ...

I understand the last stanza because I overanalyze everything to a microscopic level. Otherwise not getting what saying above.

If you notice every male-female love story, the woman is always a damsel.

This thinking has finally help me come with an opener to a novel I had on the backburner.

I like lesbian stories ... there are strong women finding each other ;)

Its a stereotype and you can use it ... just saying there are other ways possible ...

The whole damsel thing additionally brings people out of their usual life, and adds some kind of adventure ...
which simply helps getting emotions up and people getting closer to each other ... imo...
thats what I meant above ...
