Insurance plans you possibly use?

Hey there, I need a little help here and figured that Susans is the only place I can get help at. It's about, as the title suggests, insurance. I recently found out that my insurance plan ended, like a couple days ago, and I need to get insurance. While looking I am also making sure to get insurance that covers stuff I will be getting done, like hormones and surgery costs. I wanted to know what some of you guys advice I get. I am looking online and seeing insurance plans I like but would like personal advice. I have no money to blow, cause I earn minimum wage and have to also pay car insurance, but there are things I know I'll be getting done soon (hormones next month) and need coverage.

How old are you? If you are under the age of 26, you can remain on your parents' health insurance plans. They just have to add you to them if you aren't already on there.

If you're older than 26 you have 2 options - insurance through an employer or insurance bought through the ACA Marketplace. If you're young and have time to get a part time job, I know both Apple and Starbucks have employee health insurance that will cover hormones and surgery, and I know plenty of guys working for one or the other in order to get various procedures paid for.

As far as insurance through the ACA Marketplace, there will be different companies and plans available based on your state - so to get a good answer, you'd probably need to connect with people who live in the state you live in. I have DC health insurance and all insurers here legally have to provide trans inclusive coverage, but there are only a few other states that have similar provisions.

I applied at healthcare.gov
It's hard finding insurance that covers trans people mine doesn't cover it but I've already changed my documents.
